More Than Enough

“I can’t do it, I’m not ready yet. I don’t have enough time or money, and I need more experience.” How many times have thoughts like these come into your mind when you thought about starting your next big business venture? Don’t worry, you’re not alone. You’ll also be happy to know that these thoughts are wrong. Do you have your big idea? Great! You already have exactly what you need to get started right now.

Many of the greatest inventions and companies started from a simple dream or idea. If the people behind these ideas sat around and waited for every detail to be in place before getting started, we wouldn’t be enjoying the outcome of their success today.

So, how do you get started? First, sit down and take a true assessment of where you are and what you have. This will allow you to establish your starting point and determine what steps you need to take next in order to successfully achieve your goal. Next, sketch out a general plan and create attainable objectives. Remember to take it one step at a time and be patient with your vision. These things do take time, but the biggest achievement is getting started.

One of the best things you can do for yourself is to use your resources! Reach out to people who have the unique skills or knowledge to help you along your journey. Set up meetings with investors. Take a class specific to your goals. Get creative with your journey. This will help you tackle each step, and will help you overcome any challenges you may face along the way. Any challenge is an opportunity to reevaluate your plan or your goal. As long as you remain flexible and open-minded and tackle each situation head on, you’ll continue to succeed throughout this process. Never give up.

Whether your dream is to open a bakery using your family’s secret recipes or you want to expand your current business by offering a new service, program or product, don’t let a fear of getting started get in your way. An ideal situation would be to have your plan and preparations perfectly in order, but it isn’t always that easy. So people sit around waiting for the right moment to begin, but if everyone waited, nothing would ever get done. Sometimes you just need to dive in, and the process will take over itself.

God has the power to provide you with more than enough of every kind of grace. That way, you will have everything you need always and in everything to provide more than enough for every kind of good work. 2 Corinthians 9:8 CEB
